EVENTS/ Virtual Conference - Ecological uniformitarianism - key or lock?
Registration is now open for this two-day virtual conference, taking place from 3 - 4 March 2022.
Convenors welcome abstracts from a variety of fields, including those from palaeoecology and conservation biology/palaeobiology. The deadline for abstract submissions is 14 January 2022.

LIBRARY/ New e-book for Fellows – Landscapes and Landforms of Scotland
New to our e-book collection, Landscapes and Landforms of Scotland (Ballantyne & Gordon, eds., 2021) contains 29 chapters devoted to the evolution of Scotland's scenery and locations of outstanding geomorphological significance, including ancient palaeosurfaces, landscapes of glacial erosion and deposition, evidence of postglacial landscape modification by landslides, rivers and wind, and coastal geomorphology.

OTHER/ Geospatial scholarship for Black geoscientists
Black Geographers and Esri UK have established a new scholarship programme to encourage and support Black African, Caribbean, Black or mixed Black heritage students in the study of geography and geoscience.
